Amy Crawford is a beauty queen from Auburn, Washington who has competed in the Miss USA pageant.
Crawford won the Miss Washington USA 2005 title in a state pageant held in Seattle in late 2004. She had previously competed for this title on two occasions, and had competed in the Miss Washington pageant seven times.
Crawford competed in her first state pageant in 1997 when she represented Auburn but did not place. In 1998 she won the Miss Puget Sound local title and placed second runner-up in the state event. The winner was Mariana Loya, who Crawford would later compete against at the Miss USA 2005 pageant, where Loya competed as Miss Arizona USA.〔 〕 The following year Crawford competed at Miss Washington 1999 as Miss Evergreen, and placed fourth runner-up.〔 〕 In 2000 she held the Miss Seattle title and placed third runner-up; in 2001 she was first runner-up as Miss Kent and she again placed first runner-up in 2002 as Miss Emerald City. Her final year of eligibility was 2003, when she competed for the seventh time at Miss Washington, but placed first runner-up for the third consecutive year. She became the first woman in the recorded history of the Miss America system to compete in a state pageant seven times without success. She qualified to compete at the National Sweetheart 2001 pageant, after placing first runner-up to Miss Washington. She ended up placing in the Top 10.〔
As well as competing in the Miss Washington pageant, Crawford also placed first runner-up at Miss Washington USA 2002 and first runner-up in the 2004 event, before winning the title in 2005. She represented Washington at the Miss USA 2005 pageant broadcast live from Baltimore, Maryland in April 2005 but did not place. The pageant was won by Chelsea Cooley of North Carolina.
Crawford is a 1997 graduate of Auburn Riverside High School. She completed a bachelor's degree in arts, media and culture from the University of Washington in 2002.
